Practice Schedule

Practices are structured to include warm-up, stretching, strength/flexibility exercises; speed workouts; group routines; and individual and group skill-building.

Tuesdays and Thursdays @GV gym
4:30 to 5:00 p.m.:  Warm-ups, stretching and strengthening/flexibility, speed stations
5:00 – 6:45 p.m.:   Skills cards, routines
6:45 – 6:55 p.m.:   Cool down and stretching

Sundays @GV gym, 3:00 to 5:00 pm:  Optional or make-up practice, unstructured

Gymnastics:
Tuesdays and Thursdays @ SAGA (GV gym for September), 6:15-7:15 pm
Elementary age team members on Tuesdays
Middle school and high school age team members on Thursdays

 

Additional required practices in preparation for an event will be scheduled.

Jumpers attending Nationals and/or other competitions will continue to practice after the season ends until the event is held.

Jumpers who miss a significant portion or all of a required practice (including gymnastics) are required to make up their time by coming to the Sunday practices or by doing other make-ups as approved by a coach.  If a jumper misses more than 15% of the required practices (6 practices) that are not made up, they will not be allowed to be in the next team show.

Equipment Information

Ropes:

Additional freestyle ropes will be available for $3.00 each. Ropes may be purchased before or after practice. Ropes need to be paid for in advance.

Additional speed ropes are available for $8.00 each, while supplies last. Once the supply is depleted, speed ropes should be purchased via the Internet.
